Hi guys, this one is serious.
How much time do you think a company takes to activate a data card? Well I believe a day or two...
But in this case its not so.
My aunt purchased an idea data card no 989195**** on 19th Feb, 2010 and guess what it’s not even activated till date. When I came to know about her grievance, I thought of blogging the whole scene.
Well here goes the story...
My aunt age 55 (she's not that much kind of techie), living in Delhi. She bought this idea data and sim (at Rs 2600, whose real market price is about Rs.2350 and the shop keeper made the slip of Rs 2450. At-least she got one... :) ) from a shop near her house. But when the card wasn't activated, she first complained the shop owner. Who asked for some time. Now after that time, she again approached the shop who referred her to the idea customer care shop in that area. Then, she went to this customer care centre. After few visits to the customer care centre and the shop, she got referred by them to the Head office of idea cellular in Connaught Place. She even went there and submitted photocopies of passport, pan card etc on 24th march and was promised her that the card will be activated in 2-3 days after verification.
Now the cool thing is that the verification guy neither turned up nor she got any verification call, and the shop keeper says that there are 3 negative reports have been registered against her name and the verification was completed n her no. remains deactivated. Now neither the card is getting activated nor the shopkeeper is refunding the money back.
Anyways, I told her to stop wandering around and to send a mail directly to the idea customer care complaint centre or some director. Let’s see whether they reply or not otherwise she can go to consumer court.
I will keep on posting the course of events from now on.... :)
Search Amazon.com for datacard
